The permission runs entirely within your device and has no external network component.
To present the app selection screen, NetPause queries the list of user-installed applications on your device (package names, app labels, and launcher icons). This information:
NetPause integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each has its own privacy policy and may collect data independently.
AdMob serves advertisements within the App (banners, interstitials, rewarded, app-open, and native ads). AdMob may collect your Android Advertising ID (AAID) and use it to serve personalised ads based on your interests. AdMob may also collect device information such as IP address, device model, and OS version for fraud prevention and ad quality purposes.
Your choice: When you first launch NetPause, you will be shown a consent form. You may choose to receive personalised or non-personalised ads. You can change this at any time in Settings → Ad Preferences.
Opt out of interest-based ads: You can also opt out of personalised advertising at any time through your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID, or via Google Ad Settings.
Ad Technology Partners: To see the full list of ad technology providers that may serve ads through AdMob, visit Google's ad technology partners page.

All data stored by NetPause resides on your device and is retained until:
Usage analytics (pausing session records) are kept indefinitely on your device to power your personal Analytics Dashboard. No automatic expiry is applied, but you can clear them at any time via Reset App.
The Google Play Store requires us to declare our data practices in the Data Safety section of our app listing. Our declaration reflects this Privacy Policy: no personal data is collected or shared with third parties except as described under Section 7 (Google AdMob and Google Play Billing). The Data Safety form is kept in sync with this policy.
If you notice any discrepancy between the Play Store Data Safety declaration and this Privacy Policy, please contact us at info@linksgroups.com.

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. All data is stored locally on your device.
In addition to CCPA rights, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA, effective January 1, 2023) grants California residents the right to correct inaccurate personal information and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
If you are located in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 may apply to you. Under this Act, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent for processing. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you may exercise these rights directly through the App (Settings → Reset App) or by contacting us at info@linksgroups.com.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@linksgroups.com.
NetPause is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@linksgroups.com and we will take steps to remove such information.
The App is designed for users aged 13 and above who are using it of their own volition to manage their own screen time.
Since all user data is stored locally on your device, the security of that data is subject to your device's security measures (screen lock, encryption). We do not transmit your data, so there is no risk of interception during transit.
We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and enabling device encryption for best protection of locally stored data.
NetPause may request permission to send you notifications (Android POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission on Android 13+). Notifications are used solely for:
All notification preferences can be managed in Settings → Notifications within the App, or through your device's system notification settings. We do not send marketing, promotional, or third-party notifications.
NetPause requests the following Android permissions:
| Permission | Why We Need It |
|---|---|
| BIND_VPN_SERVICE | Required by Android to enable the on-device pausing service. |
| FOREGROUND_SERVICE | Required by Android OS to run the pausing service in the foreground and display the persistent status notification while pausing is active. |
| QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES | Required on Android 11+ to retrieve the full list of installed applications so you can select which apps to pause. This list never leaves your device. |
| POST_NOTIFICATIONS | Required on Android 13+ to send pausing status and reminder notifications. This is optional and can be declined. |
| RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED | Allows the App to restart scheduled pausing sessions automatically after a device reboot. |
NetPause itself does not transfer your data internationally. However, third-party services (Google AdMob, Google Play Billing) may process data in countries outside your jurisdiction, including the United States. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as a lawful transfer mechanism for international data transfers. Details are available in Google's Privacy Policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
We're here to help. Reach out to our privacy team at any time.
