1Description of Service

NetPause is an Android application that helps users improve focus and productivity by temporarily pausing access to selected applications on their device. The App provides three pausing modes:

• Manual Mode — Instant pausing with manual release.
• Timer Mode — Pausing for a defined duration with automatic release.
• Schedule Mode — Automated recurring pausing on user-defined days and times.

The App operates entirely on your device — no network traffic is transmitted to external servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

2Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use NetPause. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years old.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• If you are between 13 and 18, a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
• Your use of the App complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

3License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, personal licence to download and use NetPause on Android devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

This licence does not include the right to:

• Reproduce, modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App.
• Reverse engineer, disassemble, or decompile the App (except where permitted by applicable law).
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks.
• Distribute, sell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise commercialise the App.
• Use the App for any commercial purpose or for any public display.

4Free and Premium Features

NetPause is available in two tiers. The Free tier is provided at no charge, subject to the limitations below.

We reserve the right to modify the features included in each tier at any time with reasonable notice.

5Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Subscription Plans

Premium features are unlocked via a paid subscription processed through the Google Play Store. Subscription options, pricing, and billing cycles are displayed within the App and the Google Play Store listing.

5.3 Free Trial

Where a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand. Only one free trial is available per Google account per subscription type.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through:

• Google Play Store → Account → Subscriptions → NetPause → Cancel
• Or via the subscription management screen within the App.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain premium access until the period expires. Cancellation does not entitle you to a partial refund for unused time.

5.5 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Google Play. Refund requests are governed by the Google Play refund policy. We are unable to process refunds directly. Please contact Google Play Support for refund requests.

5.6 Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle after you have been notified. Your continued subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5.7 Restore Purchases

If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your subscription via Settings → Restore Purchase. Premium access is tied to your Google Play account and can be used on devices signed into the same account, subject to Google Play's device limits.

6Acceptable Use

You agree to use NetPause only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent, hack, or disable NetPause's pausing technology for purposes other than legitimate use.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to interact with the App.
• Upload, transmit, or distribute any malicious code or content through the App.
• Use the App to harm minors in any way.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

7Pausing Technology — Usage and Limitations

The App requires a system permission to function. By granting this permission, you acknowledge and agree that:

• The pausing service operates entirely on your device and does not route traffic to any external server.
• The pausing service will temporarily cut off internet access for apps you have selected — this is the intended behaviour.
• Other apps using similar permissions cannot run simultaneously with NetPause due to Android OS limitations. You must stop one before starting the other.
• Certain apps may detect the pausing and behave differently; we are not responsible for such third-party app behaviour.
• The effectiveness of pausing may vary depending on the Android version, device manufacturer customisations, or app updates.

8Advertisements

The free tier of NetPause displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the free tier, you agree to the display of advertisements within the App.

Advertisements may be personalised based on your interests if you have provided consent, or non-personalised if you have declined. You may change your ad consent preference at any time via Settings → Ad Preferences.

Premium subscribers are entitled to an ad-free experience. Advertisements are automatically removed upon verification of an active premium subscription.

9Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of NetPause — including but not limited to the App's source code, UI design, graphics, logos, icons, animations, and text — are the exclusive property of LinksGroups Engine and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in our intellectual property other than the limited licence described in Section 3. The NetPause name, logo, and "LinksGroups Engine" are trademarks of LinksGroups Engine and may not be used without prior written permission.

10Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free at all times.
• Every app on every device will be pausable by our technology.
• The App will be compatible with every Android device, version, or manufacturer customisation.
• Any defects or errors in the App will be corrected.

Your use of the App is at your sole risk. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusions may not apply to you.

11Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LinksGroups Engine and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of productivity, data, revenue, or profits.
• Personal injury or property damage of any kind.
• Any third-party conduct or content.
• Unauthorised access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein.
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the App.

In jurisdictions where liability cannot be fully excluded, our total liability to you for all claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $10 if you have paid nothing.

12Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LinksGroups Engine from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the App.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party right, including any copyright, intellectual property, or privacy right.
• Any claim that your use of the App caused damage to a third party.

13Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.

Upon termination:

• Your licence to use the App immediately ceases.
• Locally stored data will remain on your device until you uninstall the App.
• Any active paid subscription will not be automatically refunded; you may cancel via Google Play to stop future charges.

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

14Third-Party Services and Links

The App may integrate or link to third-party services (Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, Google Fonts). These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies, which govern their respective use of your data.

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

By distributing this App through Google Play, we are also bound by the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement with respect to Google Play's role, the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement shall prevail.

15Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We may also notify you through an in-app notice or via the App Store listing.

Your continued use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.

16Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which LinksGroups Engine is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Users in the European Union may also rely on mandatory consumer protection laws of their country of residence. Users in the United States may have additional rights under their state laws.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration or through the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16bClass Action Waiver

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to resolve disputes with LinksGroups Engine on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration against LinksGroups Engine. This waiver does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws (including in the EU, UK, and Australia).

16cForce Majeure

LinksGroups Engine shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government actions, pandemics, internet infrastructure failures, or Google Play Store outages. In such events, our obligations are suspended for the duration of the force majeure event.

17Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LinksGroups Engine regarding your use of NetPause and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of those rights.
